Expected behavior of gadmin reset?

What exactly does “gadmin reset” command do? It doesn’t seem to start a process if that process was down before running the command.

In normal operations, gadmin reset will not be needed. What it does is to clear out all the incremental data from the internal Kafka queue. If you have unconsumed data that is not synchronized to disk. This command will result in data loss.

Thanks. So what are the commands I need to run if GPE/RESTPP are in the “DOWN” state to have a clean start?

gadmin start gpe restpp should do it.
